About CBYX
CBYX (Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange) is a program funded by U.S. Department of State and German Bundestag. It provides 250 American students with full-ride scholarships to live a full school year in Germany, and many German students with the same scholarship to come to America. It is a cultural immersion program. Participants will live with a German host family for the year, go to a German school, eat German food, learn about German culture, and become fluent in the German language. This program is not for the weak-spirited; it requires perseverance and a strong will to get through hard times, especially culture shock.
